This classic collection of Afghan Hound Rescue Stories is again available in a limited printing.

This book was written by the people who have chosen to rescue the most unfortunate members of a unique breed of dog, the Afghan Hound.  A breed uniquely blessed and cursed by its beauty, its independent character, its speed, its strength, and its fragility.

Many people acquired Afghan Hounds because of their appearance, their elegance, their speed.  They never knew or learned that Afghans are unlike other dogs and require a special approach to socialization, training and grooming.  All too frequently they simply gave up on the challenges, and their Afghans, without ever learning about them, or how to live with and enjoy their uniqueness.

The stories in this book are about the outcomes of such circumstances.

All stories in this book were donated. All proceeds of this book are used by the Afghan Hound Club of America's National Rescue to defray medical costs involved in healing, rehabilitating, spaying and neutering the orphaned Afghan Hounds who pass through the homes and hearts of their rescuers, on their way to a better life.
